Capital One over limit?

Hello .I have the normal Capital One black-coloured card with a £200 limit (building credit, paying it off every month). When topping up my phone the clunky 3 website somehow processed my payment twice, however the second payment would have taken me over my credit limit and is currently 'pending' whereas the first one has now gone through.
Can someone with who's had this card longer than I tell me if I'll be hit with a charge for 'trying' to spend more than I'm allowed?

You should really be talking to Cap 1 and '3' rather than MSE. They are the only ones who can actually do anything for you.0

It’s likely the pending transaction will be cancelled and you’ll here nothing more of it.0

This was easier than making lots of phone calls to call centres. Also a potential consumer issue of interest if they 'allow' transactions over people's limits but expect them to pay charges for the privilege. Plus I'm bored, which you clearly are too since you're on here!0 -

Hopefully.. Their fees summary says £12 charge for going over your limit, but maybe this is for people who incur interest pushing them over rather than transactions, as transations are avoidable. 3 mentioned nothing of it on their website which is why I was surprised to see it.0 -

If the second transaction never gets beyond the pending stage, then, as Gary Dexter says, you will have nothing to worry about. If it does get processed you will have to speak to Cap 1 and/or '3'.
You're not entirely correct with your assessment of my mental state. There are other demands on me that mean I can't actually do any of the things I'd really like to do and so am stuck here near to my PC.0 -
A Pending Transaction will not take you over limit, regardless of how much by.
It's when that Pending is transferred as a "Charge".
If that doesn't happen, you'll be fine!0 -

Thanks - turned out to be a phantom transaction as it disappeared yesterday, and only one is showing. No idea if they tried or whether it's just a quirk of C1's app.0 -
I have a capital one card. If you go over limit but pay in money that day to bring you back within limit then you will not be charged0

Can you do a faster transfer from your bank to the capital one card to cover the second 3 top up so you don't go over? Normally payment is received and processed within 2 hoursThanks to money saving tips and debt repayments/becoming debt free I have been able to work and travel for the last 4 years visiting 12 countries and working within 3 of them. Currently living and working in Canada  :dance:0
