suggestions for direct debits

I recently set up a new bank account also to get an incentive bonus.
I need to setup two direct debits.
I remember this was discussed some time ago, but cannot find anything recent.
Could you suggest anything low cost?
One DD might be a Paypal linked account, if I am not wrong.
The second DD? Any charity at 50p/month for a few months (till the bonus is payed)?
Anything else free?

If you are the patient type …… a Post Office online Savings Account that allows you to add into it from your nominated account (your new bank account) via a DD. The money stays as your money, just in the Post Office instead of your new bank account.Compiler of the RS League Table.
Being nosey... How many Regular Saver accounts do you have? — MoneySavingExpert Forum0 -
Thank you for all your kind answers.
But I should have explained better.
I am not interested in a long-term DD, so I don't want electricity or tv or any other contract in.
I am just looking for something particularly easy to set up online (no forms to download and send as in all the saving account suggested here) to be used just for the few months needed for the bonus to come in.
Any charity at 50p/month with an online DD simple form to setup the payment?0 -
Post office online saving account, as mentioned above, is easy to open and set up monthly DD0

The link in post 2 is the most comprehensive one on the forums that I'm aware of. In all instances however, you will need at least 10 working days to set up a new DD mandate, so the sooner you get on it the better. If you only care about getting an incentive, then charity DDs are quick and easy to set up, but they will also eat into your profits. I also don't think I've come across ones for less than a minimum of £2 or so. Otherwise I'd recommend you buy something using PayPal, or set up a PO Saver as outlined above.0
