That, in my opinion, is going beyond what is covered in the CCRs.

To be fair we've got no idea what phone it is. Top end iPhones will set you back about £1200 and the new top end Samsung is about £1600. £600 could be a bargain.
In regards to the OP I agree with the others, given your actions I'd expect them to be making a reduction in what they refund. How much that'll be isn't clear but I wouldn't expect it to be excessive. Have you asked them what the refund amount will be?0 -
Well, just to let you all know that after using my legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations, I was awarded a full refund.0
