Very poor advice as usual from everyone on here. There is no reason for you to change your address or apply with a new address for all your documents. Keep it to where everything is registered and stable at your parents home where your post is trusted! Nothing will happen or effect you negatively like this!

If you start applying and changing your address all the time this will look very bad on your credit report and red flags will appear! Only change your documents once you have a stable address when you have moved, keep your current address (parents) for any new applications - DO NOT USE YOUR NEW ONE!

    No it won't.

Bad advice from the usual suspect.

    Interesting - conflicting advice here!

Perhaps it helps that the address I am currently staying at is also a family address (in the sense that my parents are living separately) so the idea of address permanence for things like important letters is not really an issue.

I'd already changed 2/4 addresses before the suggestion of _not_ changing addresses came about. Isn't that fun!

Because it takes about a month for CRAs to update anyway, it won't change my line of credit (getting renewed next month, after which I'll use the new address as normal) or my current current account (being switched, hopefully).

So I think I'll just....leave it as is? And apply for the new current account, and if it gets declined I'll then update the other two addresses.

    Wrong.
    Again.

All your information should be registered to the address you reside at.
Stable address, temporary dwellings or whatever.

Apply at the address you live at.
If declined then wait and apply again at a later date.
    It’s really that simple.

frequent address changes is a problem. If you are constantly moving every 6 months or so id register everything at a settled address i.e your parents or someone you can trust until you are settled in a place for long term

That is actually quite sensible advice...for when someone will be moving so often...there is though a chance that it could go pear-shaped...

In the vast majority of cases of applying for credit and banking products, the company is going to ask you for your last 6 years of addresses anyway.

Keep your contact details up to date with all your lenders, put your current address down as your current address on applications, and include your previous addresses on applications where asked.
