Posting toys with batteries in

Been trying to make heads or tails of post office regulations on sending toys with batteries in (AA, AAA, C etc) but still as puzzled as before.
Can a battery powered toy be send by Royal Mail and can the toy contain the batteries it needs to power it?

Yes, if the batteries are in the toy.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0
