As above forget a law that does not apply ( if its ever been an actual law as opposed to a directive )

You should push them for a higher amount £175 - £200.
Refused then try the Small Claims court .

Sorry but I’m not being off. I am generally enquiring as I don’t know.

I have been told by apple as it is less than 2 years the currys should replace or repair the item. I don’t know eu law and just found what is has said on the internet. This was the reason for asking on here. People who possibly have a better understanding. The way you have responded makes me for silly for asking. I can understand why people, like myself haven’t asked anything before with the above reply.

A total stranger who owes you nothing (that's me) has taken the time to explain the law to you. With example calculations, etc. But, rather than thanking me for my trouble, you are complaining because you don't like the way I explained it.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Series 3 looking between £170 and £230 used.

Are those watches of comparable age? You've had at least 19 month's use out of yours.

I'd have thought £131 was a reasonable offer (I ask myself what I'd pay for a £329 second hand watch that's 19 month's old and I'd be reluctant to pay more than £100) but you can always go back to them and haggle - say £170 or whatever using evidence from ebay. (Do they actually get sold for that amount?).

£131 is a very precise figure - sounds like they have actually calculated it somehow. You could ask how they've arrived at it and challenge it. (One of the posts above suggests that it may be calculated on what's called a "straight line" depreciation basis, but be wary of that as tech products - like cars - tend to nose dive in value as soon as they've been bought. That's one reason I wouldn't pay more that £100 for it second-hand).

But you can always ask them to justify the £131.

You could always try Apple again explaining what Curry's are saying.

Apple are very good at saying that when you didn't buy direct from Apple. Try doing the same thing when you have bought from Apple and you'll find that their attitude and response is very different. ;)
