PIP has different criteria to DLA,
For this very reason, it will be well worth having a read of this link.

    https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria

It's very easy to score yourself highly in both parts if you don't fully understand the descriptors and what they mean.
  • thanks for the link poppy12345, the letter I sent did go deeper into the criteria ,
but I don't understand why it says you can work and get PIP ? , with all my health problems I couldn't work at all

It says you can work and get PIP because that is what the rules allow. Qualifying for PIP has nothing to do with whether or not somebody can work. In your specific case you may not be able to work but the rules are not written just for you. There are people who can work but would qualify for PIP.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

That may not help. What you should do is state where you think you should have scored those points and your reasons why. Adding a couple of real life examples of what happened the last time you attempted that activity for each descriptor that applies to you.
  • Great News !! I have got PIP , I had a call last week to tell me that they have looked at my case
and reconsidered it and can award me Standard rate Care and Higher rate Mobility (just what I wanted)
so I said yes , got my back money yesterday and they will start paying me in February , no tribunal thank goodness , hopefully I can sleep better now .
