I want to sell my ipod on ebay but i need to wipe the disk or reformat. Could someone explain how this can be done. Thanks.

IM not sure about 3rd gen but on my ipod nano if i erase all my songs from my itunes, then try syncing, it will ask to erase my ipod.0

Agreed, actually im sure its will be ok....nothing illigal? you own the CD's dont you.........you are just selling the CD's on.......now all you have to do is remove them from your computer and im sure you will be ok.0

You can use the restore function in itunes to erase the ipod, i did this with my nano 3rd gen, i did a firware update and had songs etc on it, used the restore and its back to factory settings with nothing on it.

You'd have to remove the music from your computer and sell the CDs will the iPod to be truly "legal". (Although technicalities in the law have issues with us even ripped our own CDs for our own use, although this will be revised.)0 -
