I changed supplier some months back; but just thinking, if wholesale energy prices are more expensive in the colder months, should we all be fixing our tariffs in the summer?

Generally yes, best time is just coming out of summer when there is a high surplus. Energy wholesale prices are based on supply and demand. Winter is higher demand so higher prices. Not always what happens as there are other factors involved but 9 times out of 10 it is the case.0

The last few years that I have been paying attention to a switch is that they start to raise the gas kwh prices October time.
Maybe best to get a years fix in place before the winter.
If you go for Zog Energy low rates of gas with a fixed yearly deal with no exit fees you are covering the unlikely event of a big drop in the kwh gas prices with the ability to jump ship exit fee free.
. Also Bulb are another supplier to use as they will pay your exit fee . slightly higher rates than Zog but you are then in pyramid selling game and can collect customer referral fees of £50 to any friends you recommend .No exit fee neither for Bulb.0
