Parcel Force France

Hi all
(note to mods please move to more appropriate forum if applicable)
I had a parcel from France which Parcel Force attempted to deliver on the 15/08 - they left me a card with instruction to collect from Post Office.
I cant get there easily so I rearrange a delivery online and was given a reference - due on 19/08.
They didn't come back and I rang them later this week and was told it was still due but they'd had an issue collecting it.
Tracking it today its now been marked return to Sender!
Its still at the Leeds depot.
Any advice on whether I can still get it or the sender can get any of the costs refunded, I'd be very grateful.
I have sent in a complaint but I doubt it'll be answered in time.
Thanks
