The grass is always greener....I look at it like any win is better than nothing and £9000 is not to be sniffed at; swings and roundabouts, another comp local to England (eg Wave) could run with huge amounts at some point.

Is this Electric Light Orchestra? There were on one of the competitions previously I believe? I think either answer is acceptable. Did they pronounce specifically ELO on the radio this morning? Thanks
    Started comping: September 2013
Wins so far: Cunard QM2 Cruise, X Factor final tickets, £1,000 Team build day, Dinner at the Ritz with Rolls Royce limo

How is this pronounced? Am I just saying each letter individually?

Perhaps best to listen to greatest hit yourselves as I thought this was clear enough
They clearly said ELO as in E L O

    Not Electric Light Orchestra

But it is up to you IF you get rung
Even if they have already been on

    THIS IS WHAT WAS SAID

    NOT THE ELO EITHER

As you're not understanding or deliberately being passive agressive, it should be obvious that when people ask a question re pronounciation of a group or singer, they could be of a younger generation who have never heard of that band so would not know how to pronounce it. Many people rely on this thread to help with the answer. If we all listened to that station every day, none of us would need this thread so simply stamping your foot and telling people they should listen to the station is ridiculous and would remove the need for the thread. So no, it might not be clear to some people. I also think the 'the' conversation was clearly pointed at a group in which the word 'the' was part of their official name and so could have mattered that one day. It obviously doesn't any other time. So no need to continue with the sarcasm either when that subject was long over. No idea why you're acting like this but please don't push it upon the rest of us because there are far more important things in the world to worry about than making people feel stupid or unwelcome in a thread.. Thank you to those who have answered the posters question re pronounciation. A valid question if you don't know the group.

And yes for those asking and as Andrew has kindly said, you do pronounce it as individual letters.
    August-September 2017: Lots of stuff :)
