Hello. :j
Ive been putting it off but decided I must try and see if ive been miss sold PPI.
A few questions ... is it really better to now go with someone to pay to do it?
I thought you just send a letter and they check but do I have to send a letter to check each individual thing like store card and credit card?
Also if I had a joint credit card with a ex and ex was the first name and ex applied for PPI, would I be notified or would it just go to the main account holder? If so how could I check?
thank you x

Go directly to the website of the seller and fill out their PPI enquiry form...do it right now.0 -
No such thing as a joint credit card. It would be a complaint submitted by your ex and any award would also go to them. You would not be notified as you were not responsible for anything spent on the card, liability for that settles on your ex's shoulders.
Any cards / loans in your name, that had PPI, just complain directly to the lender and be aware of the short deadline to submit it.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
sorry I should have put joint mortgage.0

PPI on a joint mortgage would require both you to be party to the complaint.
As advised go direct, not only are CMCs useless parasites but their paperwork alone will take longer than the deadline to complete0
