I got an email from Egg...
"We've noticed your Egg Card hasn't been out and about much recently, so we wanted to give you a little incentive to take it shopping again. After all, that's what it does best.
Spend £50 or more on your Egg Card between now and 30 June 2005 and we'll credit your account with £10 by 31 August 2005."
I shall be spending £50 then clearing it in time for my anniversary off coming up in July.

Sweet deal. When was the last time you used the card?I know nothing0

I had this same offer last year and found it a struggle to make the £50 spend. I managed it with just a couple of days remaining. It shows how much I don't use cards for spending. They are used almost entirely for stoozing which is a good thing as far as I am concerned.0

If memory serves this offer can also be met by making a balance transfer for the minimum payment [of £100] and then an instant debit card repayment to Egg for the same amount.thor wrote:I had this same offer last year and found it a struggle to make the £50 spend. I last used the card in March for moving some cash. It was some time last year I used it for spending.
Not sure if a £100 BT would qualify - the email did say spend £50 and the following condition:
*Offer only applies to purchases made with your Egg Card between now and 30 June 2005. Where a transaction made by 30 June 2005 does not reach your account by that date, the credit to your account may be delayed. We may deduct the credited amount from your account if you are given a refund for any purchase(s) you made to qualify for this offer. Your account will be credited with the £10 spend reward by 31 August 2005.
I've made a single purchase of £60 and shall be clearing it straight away as July is my anniversary month.
I bet Egg thought I'd forget and leave the £60 around to gather interest....0 -
