Apologies if this is a daft question but do banks see credit files in real time, or as at the last update as we see them?


I only ask as i'm in the middle of buying a house and with all the fee's that are being paid out and need to be paid out, I'm a little insolvent atm


It's my sons birthday in a couple of weeks though, so I was thinking of sticking his main present on my CC but I don't want to jeopardise the mortgage offer. It'll be paid off by the next CRA update.

I believe they see the most recent update, not in real-time.

How expensive is the present you're buying? I can't imagine £100 or so would make a huge difference.

They will see them in realtime as it sits on the CRA's systems/databases.

Putting a payment onto a credit card isn't so bad - just don't take any new finance products or offers out until completion.
