    Hello to a wet Sunday,

I am determined to have a NSD and continue with a bit of DE cluttering. So today I have taken the big bookcase or more better known as the "dumping ground" to task. Said bookcase is in the living room and it is dusty & full of stuff. I have many books which are part read or in the pile to read. Its been interesting to go through and some books I've put aside to form a mini library at the holiday let place so these will leave the house soon, some am going to give to the local library and the rest made it back on the shelves. On the bookcase I've also got some tubs with various crafting stuff, these too need a proper sort through. Am on a bit of a mission to clear my home of crap. Not sure if there is any value in any of the stuff. Maybe if I have some unopened crafting kits. Lets see what is found.

Hope everyone else is having a good Sunday.

It's always nice to declutter. I tidied my bookshelves today too. I have some in our bedroom that need painting. Spent yesterday in the garden, thought, tomorrow I will sand and paint one of the bookshelves. And it has rained all day 🤦 ah well it can wait a bit longer

Yesterday must have been the day for giving bookcases a bit of TLC. Hopefully the rain stops soon and you get to complete the painting of the shelves. I actually enjoy these kind of tasks, quiet relaxing until something goes wrong.

  • Hello Monday,

I woke a bit too early this morning, but instead of slumbering in bed I got up and went out to the gym so feeling a bit more refreshed and ready for the day. Actually I needed to go to gym as I've been slacking last week. Did a good 11 miles on the exercise bike which I have logged for a virtual challenge I am doing.

This week I am signed up to a free social media skills course which I do in my own time so will be doing that this evening.

Yesterday did in fact turn out to be a NSD and today will be one of those too which is welcomed. On Friday I paid for accountants fees towards self assessment of the property I rent out. The fees for this will be coming out of rental pot not everyday pot so spending is still on track. Have been quite good at keeping records for this so hopefully this will be fairly painless task.

Cross stitch project is coming along nicely, was working on this last night while relaxing with movies at home.

  • Yesterday was a fairly vanilla day money wise. It was a NSD which is typical for a Monday.

Plugged in the electric meter and currently looking like we have used £60 this month so far and the gas prepayment meter (not by choice) still has plenty of money we put on it before the price rise which is good.

We had some exciting news that a babay was born in the family so will need to organise flowers and gift for the new arrivals, of course that will eat into the budget a bit but will do some shopping around for a good deal on the flowers. Apart from that not really expecting too much to happen today. This evening I have a social which tbh will be the cost of one drink at the pub.

  • Hello to a beautiful sunny Wednesday,

I've got a few minutes before starting work to update here so here goes :)

Yesterday ended up with an unexpected spend on antihistamines from the chemist. This was £3.99, hopefully they work as I've been suffering with sinus pain and this has helped in the past. Bought a drink at the social and forgot to include veg box in spending total so currently have £8.18 spend p/d to last me till next credit card month. I think food wise we are ok at the moment.

Found a tub of ice cream in the chest freezer yesterday so kids will be pleased, they love their ice cream so we'll enjoy that this weekend.

Didn't do any exercise this morning but instead enjoyed reading my current book in bed which was a nice treat.

    Not much else to report.

  • Evening,

Prolific payment meant I could cash out and add a combined whole £15.66 into S&S ISA. Every little helps.

Bit of a mistake but took the kids to the cafe after school, cost me £29 :(. Food was nice though. Def need to rein it in.

  • Hello Friday,

Yesterday was one of those  days where I hit the skids a bit. Not with spending but MH was low. Ate a lot of crap and felt worse for it, so today I am going to do some good things to help with this.

So on a positive note, yesterday was another NSD which has helped bring the daily spend upto £7.93. Veggie box was delivered last night with some green goodies so will use that for tonights tea.

Cross stitch is progressing nicely and made a start on the website.

  • Completely forgot needed to buy an airbed and pump as my eldest is having his friend for sleepover & some more bread, cucumber etc and this came to £23.14. Daily spend down to £6.65 but should have enough in to last the weekend now.

Gym workout was good, just what I needed and done a bit of cleaning so a bit happier in myself.

  • Well I don't know what has happened to me but had a good nights sleep and woke up feeling a lot more refreshed and positive minded.

The kids are enjoying having a friend over for sleepover. This is going well so far, they are talking a lot of stuff I have no idea about! Signs of getting old!

Sun is out so will get some washing out on the line to dry. Still hoping to have another NSD but with the kids here we might go out to the park or something.
