Accident only insurance - does anyone know what it covers?

Options
Been trying to find a list of some sort as to what this covers. Apart from something obvious like breaking a leg.

I've just had the MOST horrendous hike in my More Than policy which makes it completely unaffordable. No point shopping around I did look. One of the dogs is now 12 -
the healthy one. The younger one is disabled (more than don't know that - long story) and has had two claims in the last year one for a blockage which is unlikely to re occur as we've changed her diet and the other for UTI which is a recurrent problem, most of which I've just stumped up the costs for myself.

I hate being uninsured - its not a thing that sits comfortably with me - but the renewal has rocketed to £1700 for the year and I can't afford it anymore.

My three greatest worries are adder bites  (know four local dogs this has happened to in the last few years) one of them getting onto the road or being attacked by another dog (also happened but fortunately was only a single puncture wound and £50 worth antibiootics) These would all be accidents wouldn't they?

You need to check any policy document carefully to make sure you know what you are covered for.

For instance a dog running onto the road could be considered negligence. It would depend on the circumstances.

One thing you might need to consider is third party liability in case your dog causes damage to someone else's property such as the car that hit the dog running onto the road.

If you join Dog's Trust you get third party cover included in the membership.
