Mehefin, I hope things sort themselves out for your son and the horses. What a stressful time.

Laura and Brian stayed overnight and are now off to their festival. I told Laura if it gets too much for her to ring me and I will go and collect her because it's only an hour away from here.

We'll be having a quiet weekend, walking Ziggy and chilling.

Afternoon all. It's just one thing after another now. The shed door is accessible and the electric will be sorted next wednesday. However, I noticed a crack in the wall between us and next door yesterday morning, and this morning I have managed to smash my wing mirror by reversing too close to lamppost on the edge of the pavement because I was looking at the kerb and not the lamppost. I am severely annoyed with myself, that's the first time I've done that in 30 years of driving. I'm SO annoyed with myself. Now I have to bodge a mirror that works with some duct tape and a stick on one until I can get it to a garage and get it fixed. I'm with mehefin on doom and gloom today.
Up the hospital in a bit then home for the weekend. Father has not been moved to a closer hospital yet, we were hoping it would be done by the weekend. He's so depressed in the one he's in that he's just going further and further downhill fast. I am struggling now to remain positive. Think I just need a rest.

Hope everyone is doing ok despite trials and tribulations.

Well there's been a change of plan here as DGS has invited himself up for the afternoon as his sister is having a friend over..... too many girls ! He won't be saying that in a few years time . Now he has arrived with some overnight clothes too :cool: how did that happen :eek:. I know, Nanny's a soft touch . Didn't even get the time to lock up the fridge or food cupboard :rotfl:. I'm happy though as I get the Kingsize bed all to myself ........... no hippo and duck for me tonight :j. Apparently DGD has organised her own sleepover here for Wed next week !! I don't mind as they are as good as gold, especially when they're asleep :rotfl:.
So this afternoon I have sorted out the spare room for our guest, put the folding bed and the chaise bed down and made them up. Mr Fix It did a dash to the local shop for some rations ( sweets ) as we are going to watch "Aquaman" tonight.

Well as much as I love my 3 DGDs it was lovely to wave them off earlier this afternoon. 3 sleepovers and 3 full days of minding, plus a day trip out with with them, has just about wiped me out this week. It will be lovely having next week to please myself but no doubt by Monday I will be missing them!

Needless to say the Friday Tidy never got started once they had gone! I'll be sorry tomorrow when I get up and it's all waiting for me but, for now, it's feet up and a rest for me and my aged legs.

My cleaner is on holiday, so I have had to 'do it myself' this week. Wet room,toilet bedroom and sitting room/Threw the duster round and shoved the GTec over the carpet.

Kitchen will have to wait till tomorrow, the floor needs attacking with the steam cleaner.

Its been rather warm today, so nothing done outside........

Oh what a beautiful day we have had today, weather wise
Have dried washing and picked blackberries, although I might not pick them next year as they are full of maggots ewww I hate them
Horses are staying out tonight as it is meant to be dry and warm, they're happy.
We had pitta bread filled with salad and chicken tikka and a handful of chips each for tea, I stayed within my calories but I feel like I have cheated because I feel so full.
