If you are looking for short term cover (borrowing a car, using parent's car, sharing the driving), I suggest you do not just rely on tempcover.com, which is a comparison site.
Just been doing quotes for 30 days cover for my 21 yr old son on my car.
The cheapest quote on tempcover.com is £333.
Same cover with Veygo: £150.
Same cover with Marmalade: £135.
Perhaps they work out better value for some people, but this shows that just relying on tempcover could more than double your costs.
