Car Insurance Threatening to cancel my insurance for address details being wrong

Hi,
My car insurance (OneCall Insurance) is threatening to cancel my insurance tomorrow if i don't get my V5 and driving licence changed to my current address.
I told them 3 months ago that i had split from wife and gave my new address - and sent council tax bill and DVLA letter & payslip in my new address and driving licence and V5 in old address.
I've now been given 7 days to get the new address on V5 and licence? or they will cancel the insurance?
can they do this? Ive told them everything and yet they are still threatening me - but STILL taking the payments each month!?

Can you confirm - have you changed the address on your DL and log book?0

Doesn't look like you have given them what they ask - proof that your DL and V5 is at the new address.
Why delay? It's free and fairly painless process and you face £1000 fine for not doing it.
Change of address where the car is kept is a material difference in the associated risk, so they can cancel the policy or adjust the premium.0 -

How does the address on a V5 prove anything about where the car is kept?
I have a lease car and have no idea of who or what is on the V50 -

You need to read your policy documents to find out.
For example, here's some example policy wording:This insurance will not apply if any vehicles ... your schedule allows you to drive was being driven or used:
• By any person who is breaking the conditions of their driving licence
And it's probably a condition of your driving licence that it shows your current home address - so I guess it could be argued that you're breaking your driving licence conditions, and therefore invalidating your insurance.
But... DVLA also say that the address on your licence must be a permanent address where you can be contacted.
I guess you could try arguing that the address on your licence is your permanent one, and the address where you are currently living is a temporary one.
...Or you could just change the address on your licence and v5!0
