Hi,

I received the assessors report today, added up the points on the self test and it's came back as enhanced on both.

Please tell me they will go with this decision?? lol

Usually they do yes, it's rare to go against it, although i have heard it happen. Hopefully everything will be fine and they'll go with the report. Good luck.

    Ok, thank you!
  • As Poppy says they usually go with the recommended points, but it could now take a few weeks for you to get the DWP decision, but so far looks like good news.

    Great, thank you!

Will I get any backdated money going from standard on both to enhanced. I think I called them and told them of changes in May.. Or will the new award just apply from the date of the decision?

[STRIKE]An increase will not be backdated.[/STRIKE]

I disagree with that. When reporting a worsening of condition, if the decision is a higher award then you'll be backdated the difference to the date you reported the changes.

If it's a review then there's no backdated money, changes will apply from the date of the decision.

Upon reflection I think poppy is right.

Came back as enhanced on both with back pay from May. Thank you all for the help.

Just curious.. I always get 3 year awards even though I have a genetic condition that I was born with. Do you get long awards on PIP?

    Thanks!
  • I've seen posts on other forums interpreting ongoing awards mean 10 years.

10 year awards with a ‘light touch’ review at that time are possible.
