    Thanks for your reply. I'm sure I've read that PPI is shown for credit card PPI, but it's not the same for others then? The SAR will not return anything in time, but my complaint date (at least for most of the major banks), will be the date the letter is delivered (always send my letters special delivery guaranteed). As long as I beat the deadline, I don't care how long it takes thereafter. I'm going to give it a go anyway. Thanks for your help!

    credi card ppi showed on every statement with an outtanding balance. loan ppi did not.

    Thanks for that info. It’s really useful. By the way, do you have any idea how the credit card PPI was worded for Barclaycard and HSBC MasterCard?
