Insurance for older cat - Bought by Many recent reviews

Hi there,
Trying to figure out if pursuing insurance with Bought by Many would be a good move to cover my twelve-year-old cat.
She does have a congential heart murmur which might prove a problem in the future. Unfortunately she has also had teeth extracted recently which could also be considered a pre-existing condition and exclude her from dental care.
I would consider self-insuring (putting money away in an easy access account) but I am wary that the heart murmur might need expensive treatment further down the line or that the heart murmur itself might impact on any future treatment.
In short, any reviews on BBM and experience of insuring older cats would be much appreciated.

The heart murmur would be a pre existing condition so not covered by any new insurance policy0

Would it still be treated as a pre-existing condition if I could prove she has never needed any treatment for the murmur? We have been seeing the same vets since she was a kitten and the same practice were the ones who spotted the issue.
I am concerned that the insurance company will simply claim any cardiovascular issues must be related to the murmur and end up not paying out at all.0 -
It is entirely possible that they would. You would need to contact the underwriters and confirm if they would cover it and get it in writing.0
