exchange

Latest Update from our buyers solicitors??

from this would you say this means it is unlikely we can exchange this Friday..

The enquiries are now all satisfied but I have had to report a matter to the lender and once I get the go ahead then need to request mortgage funds

I am waiting signed contract and deposit as well expected end of this week

I am so worried about what they have had to report to the lender as i dont know what they have had to report so it makes me so nervous

    Stressful!

We were supposed to exchange this morning (HURRAH!) but then got a call about somethingsomethingsomething and now hoping for tomorrow morning (PRETTY PLEASE) ... Completion planned for next Wednesday. Removals pencilled in but won't accept confirmation until we've exchanged (understandable. They see delays all the time).

Bank holiday coming up ... Apparently all parties (chain of 5) have requested mortgage funds so we are really *almost* there. What is the delay? Why is there always a delay? Whaaa!!

It sounds like something quite easy/quick and you could still exchange on Friday.

It sounds like a simple, "unimportant" notification, not a major review.

What is your solicitor saying? Stuff being reported to the lender is likely to be trivial rather than a showstopper. Sounds like they can pull it together for the end of the week, as they say.

Are you Exchanging/Completing same day? If not, why would the buyer be requesting mortgage funds? These are needed for Completion.

I'd be surprised if the funds will arrive by Friday if there is still an outstanding matter.

    I really hope so

My anxiety levels over the bank holiday weekend would be a bit ridiculous

It really is just like a circus at times.
I feel that there is some kind of market for making this whole proccess less stressful

Why oh why do so many people aim to complete on a Friday, the worst day you could possible choose?

I agree, I'd choose any other day.
Unfortunately, as the "flexible" one, you're always at the mercy of the person that thinks Friday is best as they can take a day off work and have a long weekend moving then sorting things out. Short-sighted.
