QDR Solicitors

Hi,

I have received letter from QDR solicitors requesting payment for 2 PCNs one from December 2016 and one from June 2017. I believe I have dealt with these but unfortunately I don't have any proof, this letter has now appeared demanding payment for £304. Can you please advise?

    What exactly does this mean?

In matters such as this, where litigation is more than likely, accuracy is a sine qua non. Waterfowl realignment may be necessary.

  • Hi,

What I mean is that PCNs would have been dealt with when they were first issued, hence nothing has been done since 2016 and 2017 respectively, but as I said I don't have any proof to say this is the case. Is there any limit on how far back PCNs can be pursued?

    Thanks

The limit is 6 years in England and Wales with 5 years in Scotland

Did you pay them? Won them on appeal? Had them cancelled by the landowner? These would constitute 'dealt with'. Any of the above?

Six years. Any time up to 2022 and 2023 respectively.

I would have had them cancelled if I remember correctly as I work at the hospital where the PCN's were issued, I have parking permit and also have permission from hospital estates dept to park in restricted areas due to nature of job picking and dropping equipment.

The PCNs issued were for :-

    Causing An Obstruction
    Parked in Incorrect Zone

So what have the "estates department" said to you now when you complained about this harassment?
  • I haven't involved them yet as the letter was received today.
