What time are builders legally allowed to start work?

Just curious but is there a legal start time that residential builders should adhere to?
I.e is 7am acceptable?

Thanks

It depends on where you are, but most places outside of London don't appear to have any set restrictions.

Central London certainly has restrictions on time and days.

We restrict anything noisy to after 8am.

During the week I would say 7am is acceptable. 'Most' folks are up for school/work.
As said, local rules would likely apply

We have a massive development going on outside and still saws, excavators, dozers etc all start at 7am, along with the language. Not just the noise is an issue but the vibration from the heavy plant too. That's Mon-Sat, Sunday being only day of relief. Fortunately we're getting the keys to our new place tomorrow. Yipee!

There might be a restriction on working, & delivery, hours in the planning permission, if PP was required.

As above, there are often restrictions attached to the planning permission. Around here it's normally 8am.

If it needs planning permission of course.
