I have been claiming PPI myself with MSE tools since 2012 (Thanks MSE!!)
I have succesfully claimed back £13,714 to date.
I have a few companies that said no and just wanted some advice on if they were correct to dismiss or not please?
1. Kensington mortgages - said it was a regulated mortgage contract therefore it was outside the scope of the FCA so I cant claim - is this correct?
2. Dorothy Perkins & Topshop store cards - said I ticked the box for ppi when opening account, so no payout, even though the sales assistant told me i was more likely to be accepted if i took out ppi - can i challenge?
3. Freemans catalogue said no as the credit agreement was took out prior to 2005 therefore i have no claim - is this correct?
4. Choice for you catalogue (now Littlewoods) said no as i took the credit agreement out before 06/04/2007 so they are not liable however littlewoods on my other 2 catalogues paid out 7 years ago even though these were prior to that date too, can i challenge?
4. PSA finance - now under Santander said they need evidence, I sent them the credit agreement as that was all I had (car finance) they said they need more evidence. What can i give them as it was before internet banking?
Appreciate any advice you can give me thank you.
