Money Moral Dilemma: Should I tell the retailer my payment didn't go through?

Has there been an outbreak of people posting questions that shouldn't be asked? There is one question, however, that you should ask yourself - are you honest, or dishonest?
Simply because the retailer or even PayPal might have made an administrative error is no justification for keeping silent. You have the goods, and you haven't paid for them. How would you feel if the boot (joke) was on the other foot, eg you were the retailer and while stocktaking you found that people had left with goods without paying for them, or had seen someone do a runner?0 -
If a company can't even organise themselves enough to take my hard-earned money from me, I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to pay them a second time.
It astonishes me that other posters have managed to fire up their moral compass over this. The shoes most likely cost £5 to make. I'm sure the CEO of Adidas wasn't going to lose sleep over robbing you blind - so just keep calm and jog on!
I agree with thisWith love, POSR0 -

Jesus wept.
And I think you win, at the art of hysterical over reaction.
How the hell do you go about your life making any kind of reasoned decisions, with that mind set
Just so you know, being in an unplanned situation where a business cannot get their act together with billing - is extremely different to what you are suggesting. With love, POSR0
