keep the money and say nothing. all these do gooders saying its theft! you put the payment through, they messed up, not your problem.you can bet if they took the money twice by mistake and you didnt notice, they would say nothing!0

Be very careful. This sound very similar to a known scam.

Yeah... here we go with Moral Saving Expert again.
I wouldn't bother doing anything.
If the company cares, they'll contact you.
If not, their loss. The payment obviously wasn't that important to them.
A friend of mine had a blunder through B&Q Kitchen service and instead of refunding her the whole kitchen (around £10,000), they refunded it twice.
Have B&Q got back to her? No.0 -
Helping a friend out I got a bill, for international shipping, from FedEx. It was for £28. The online payment method was impenetrable and, as I didn't want to open an account with FedEx I wrote them a good old fashioned cheque. (Don't see many of those these days). When I checked my bank statement only £20 had been taken. I phoned my bank and they told me that I had written "Twenty Eight Pounds Only" in words and £20 in the total box. My fault entirely. Sending a cheque for the missing eight pounds, without any reference was pointless. So I waited for FedEx to contact me. They didn't bother. They simply set a debt collection agency on me with a penalty payment and a threat of legal action. So if you owe FedEx money pay up or they will 'send the boys round'.0

The decision is up to you, and how you feel about it. I don’t think you’re breaking any laws by simply doing nothing, even though you are aware of the mistake.
There’s a saying in business that advantages will be taken. As someone has already mentioned, if the error was the other way around, it’s unlikely that the business would contact you to offer a refund. However, the money isn’t yours, so morally you have an obligation to repay it. Some people have already mentioned that they’d give it back if it was a small company, but they wouldn’t if it was from Amazon etc, which is clearly a case of double standards.
Personally, I'd probably just keep quiet and hope for the best - but that doesn't make it right!0 -
Ask yourself the question - if the money had been taken out of your PayPal account and you hadn't received the shoes - would you contact the firm to ask where they were? If the answer is yes, then you should make sure you pay them for the shoes you have received!! Easy!0
-
Definitely not, but be prepared for PayPal to take the money, it’s also entirely possible the company have received the funds from PayPal and its an error on PayPal’s part and like I said they may just come back to you later I’d just wait and see.0

You entered into a contract to pay for the shoes.
If you’re the sort to break your contracts, then break it.
If you’re the kind of person that honours their word, then honour it.
