I have an Azatom Storm Bluetooth speaker and Ive lost the mains adapter. I asked Azatom and the response was "the charger has a lower charge to it meaning that it isn't compatible with the model you currently have".
All it says on the speaker is 9v so would any 9v universal adapter suffice ?

9v at how many amps? If you can find something similar with the same size end then there's no real reason why it shouldn't work unless the device is looking for a signal of sorts that only an original charger can provide (but that's rare).0

As Neil says, need same size end (measure internal and external diameter). Polarity should be checked too.If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

There's no mention of amps anywhere on the item, just says 9 volts.0 -

Not sure I have anything that may fit, Ill have to have a look.

Is it something like this you have?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/AZATOM-Storm-Bluetooth-Built-Microphone-Black/dp/B00O284UTI
That uses a nine volt charger too.0 -
Linked from that very page ... https://www.amazon.co.uk/MyVolts-compatible-Azatom-Bluetooth-speaker/dp/B00WY5CA4S/. Reviews are mostly positive.0

You can't trust Amazon marketplace reviews any more.

Yes that's the 1, if you scroll a little further down the page, just below where it says " Have a question" it tells you when the first date th item was available which was 2014 which is about right as I bought mine in 2016.
Might just end up getting a new speaker.0 -
Why? It'll be cheaper to obtain a mains lead for it. Since its only a 9v charger it can't really be any higher than maybe 5a at the absolute most.
Normally in this sort of situation a Maplin store would have been a good source for things like this but, oh well never mind. They are online but that's about it now.0
