  • Ah right, thank you both, I stand corrected. Things have changed in that respect - quite rightly.
  • PensionBee will want to see that you have taken full regulated financial advice.  They don't care what the decision is, your responsible for your own actions at the end of the day.  They will want to see the IFAs report though.  And your DB pension scheme would most likely require confirmation from the IFA you have taken advice too.
    Great, thanks.

Keep burying your head in the sand.

"Our massive debt [two trillion] is perfectly workable" LOL

If you don't want to see that the fiat currency system in the west is being destroyed, so then so be it.
  • Have you got experience of investing and also investing in metals? I think you are going to struggle to get positive advice to transfer.

Pension Bee are no longer accepting DB transfers against transfer advice. I'm just off the phone to them. They claim they made this decision in the last few days according to the lady I spoke to.

    Now in their FAQ:

Can I transfer a defined benefit pension to PensionBee?

If your old pension has guarantees, such as guaranteed annuity rates or a final salary promise, we will send you the full paperwork to review before we transfer it.

If you have a pension with guaranteed benefits over £30,000, you are required to take financial advice from an independent financial adviser (IFA) before you transfer it. Where you are required to receive advice, PensionBee will only be able to accept the transfer if the IFA has advised that the transfer should proceed. We will require evidence of this positive advice before proceeding with the transfer. PensionBee does not provide financial advice and you will need to find an adviser.

I am an Independent Financial Adviser. Any comments I make here are intended for information / discussion only. Nothing I post here should be construed as advice. If you are looking for individual financial advice, please contact a local Independent Financial Adviser.

Well, at least stardust has been deterred from making a silly mistake.
  • Poor stardust, all that fancy silverware he could have bought.

Rather that (and crypto) than fiat money, which will be worthless soon.

The people you plan to hand over your worthless DB pension to in exchange for shiny metal and crypto don't seem to think so. Suckers lol.
