if you have windows xp it is part of the setup,m/s explorer, internet options....ideal for children as you can password settings....UNLESS....older children are so tech savy, any system can be bypassed by them quite easily. you are deluding yourself buying software....only safe way if worried is have pc in same room...even then?...one click!!!!
  • true enough my daughter had a pc in her room almost ran in to probs so have now moved the pc back into the living room where i can keep an eye . I was just after some thing to back up my eyes so to speak going to try k9webprotection thanks all
  • Parental Supervision gets my vote
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical
  • A thick woolly hat, protects from the cold and is soft, or did I miss the point?
If your running explore 7 it's built in to a point, go to internet options and content, it's in there, not fool proof but free.

I think you will find that this is not free. You may get a free trial but after that you have to pay for it.
Don't listen to the bad things about Vista its the best

Just because it's free don't mean it's good

    Ditch Norton Now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wall:

Just Because you read it some where don't mean it's right ;)
  • Cyberpatrol is quite good and allows different settings for different users. As administrator you can see what sites have been blocked for others and how long they've spent on line. If your child is on their account and need to see something they're blocked from (sometimes comes up with homework topics) then the parent can override the site for a specified time or until next login. I did see another review recently for a very good free one but I don't know the name.
  • XP controls are not good at all they still allow access from unrated sites unless you tick unrated sites then it won't let you into BBC.co.uk! useless i'm afraid as lots of these dodgy sites are unrated. Unless someone can spot something I'm doing wrong.
Just downloaded K9 so far so good.
