Gers, I have found that ankle injuries never really clear up, and recur at the most inconvenient times......sorry to be a Jobs comforter!

:( what I am completely baffled by is the source of the injury as it takes places overnight when I'm fast asleep. No pain until I get up!

Gers, it never rains etc etc...my sister buys this blue stretchy bandage from Home Bargains and straps it up, might help.

I'll have a look around HB when I get out next, hopefully tomorrow as I need to get to the lab.

    Thanks both.

    Afternoon all
We went to the surgery this morning to drop off a script, then to the wood store for more screws and a replacement metpost. Next into town for birthday cards and I bought :shhh: 2 family Christmas ones too, sorry. After that we decided to go to currys and bought DGS a new gaming headset for his birthday (1st Sept ) as his has broken and Mr Fix It decided he also wanted a different pair for his birthday ( 9th Sept ). Brought them home and Mr Fix It's don't work so they'll have to be returned . I'm glad that they weren't the DGS pair, as we would have had one disappointed 10 yr old :(.

After we came home Dad called in on his way to town and it appears his microwave has given up the ghost, so we will take him to currys on Wed to have a look for a new one and return the headset.
I have emptied the DW and wiped down the worktops and that's all I've done today . The only thing left to do is put out the bins and strip the chicken carcass, then I think it will be a chill out afternoon, well what's left of it :rotfl:.

Hugs to all especially the poorly ones and /or their carers, the gin drinkers .... hic ! :D and anyone struggling with daily life.
    Take care

Afternoon all, I went into town this morning, mainly to get some coconut water for Ds2 to make his goats milk kefir more palatable for his taste. After some experimenting with it last week we arrived at adding it to frozen blueberries/banana/stevia and he is happy with it now so I hope his skin and digestion improves.
I also had some MSvouchers for marks and boots so a new pair of black jeans ,a half price cossie & waterproof mascara for when I take DGD swimming, no 7 stuff that came with a free compact with eyeshadow/bronzer and blusher so I'm pleased with what I got for the outlay, need to chuck out some old stuff now.

Very much a sunshine & showers day here. I need to go upstairs and sort the clean washing out.DH has given the new cupboard on the landing 2 undercoats of paint, then got carried away and did the skirtings and architraves too, says he's working his way down :rotfl:
    Gers, ouch hope it improves.
Snoozer I love Cartmel, sounds a good idea about the Yorkshire house.

    Enjoy your hols JackieO
Chores await, bye for now x

Hello all home from work and been round the park with dog. Lovely - sunny and blustery wind. I love hearing it in the trees.

Easy tea of chicken and veg stew with everything in one pot. Made huge pot of it yesterday so it will last. Will have with broccoli tonight.

Rosyred - I hope the coconut water helps. My DS’s eczema has eased as he’s got older (now 32) although certain things do cause a flare up. He’d be so much better if he ditched dairy but he loves cheese. His choice!

All this talk of gin! I’m not that keen so won’t join in. I’ve only had gin once and had far too much.
  • Evening all,
Hope everyone has had a great day. Not much OS been happening here today. Been out with family most of day and then worked a few hours this afternoon whilst watching guilty pleasure TV. Had lunch with 25% off and DD2 didn't want anything so saved me some money :) Planning on doing something with left over chicken for tea. Attempted to do a veg soup in the slow cooker with some left over roasted veggies but didn't go to plan! Going to head out to horses and get some fresh air first as have a blue sky here atm. Luv SH77 xx
