Because I end up with exactly what I want in it, rather than what somebody thought the average American wanted 10 years ago.

If all you're using it for is to track income & expenditure, and manage bank accounts i dont know why you'd need tax rules.

Even though its an old programme, its still one of the most effective out there

Even though it might not be exactly everything you want/need, for the sheer amount of work & effort involved in setting up spreadsheets doing what I get out of MS Money its just not worth it. And i can live with a few minor compromises.
