Daughter Share a Cruise Cabin with Father
justforthis
My father booked a cruise for him and my mother but my mother is now unable to go but she has told him to go by himself.
However he will not get any money back, so he suggested I go with him instead as I have never been on a cruise.
The cabin will have single beds.
Would anyone think it strange that a 50 year old daughter would share a cabin with her 75 year old father, or even as he suggested, jokingly, that I pretend to be his fancy woman.
I have the same name as my mother so we don't even have to change the booking names.

A friend of mine does the exact same thing twice a year. She is a bit younger than you, and dad is a bit older. Dad also has dementia. They always have a great time.0

I know you say you have the same name as your mum but it may be worth checking in any case as I'm sure you have to give your dob when booking & I don't know if the cruise company cross checks this when checking in against your passport.0

Yes, I'd definitely check but it would be worth paying an amin charge if necessary.
Don't want to deprive you of a holiday but would it not be possible for the cruise to be delayed until your mum can travel?0 -
