Obtaining a bar for a charity event

Hi,
I am planning a charity event, and I would like to have a bar available for people to buy drinks.
After obtaining the relevant licence from the local council, we could run our own bar, but I was wondering about the possibility of bringing in an external bar?
Is this possible? As it is a charity event, I would prefer not to pay the bar operator for their presence.
Does anyone know of any companies that offer this service please?
Thanks

Youd be better googling 'hire a bar <your location>'.
As an alternative, for our wedding we had a local rugby club offer their services. So might be worth ringing around local 'clubs' to see if they can give you staff and drinks.
Our bar worked on a minimum amount basis. If they took £1000 they wouldnt charge us, anything less than that and wed be asked to make it to £1000. 80 guests and we went over.0 -
Have a look at local companies on Facebook, or try sites like stallfinder.com where you can search for companies or place an advert so that companies contact you.
I'd say that you will almost certainly make more profit if you run the bar yourself but, if you don't have the people to run it, you could try to negotiate a profit-sharing arrangement with a company. If you can tell them how many visitors you're likely to have, they might be willing to attend.0
