Morning all! Spoke too soon, father developed an infection overnight and was the colour of the sheets yesterday afternoon, back on antibiotics and a drip because he's not eating and drinking. It's so frustrating, we know he has to,he knows he has to, but he won't. Spoke to doctors again yesterday, amazingly, the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing...
The electrician failed to turn up, i missed a call from them about five, and i had already told them i wasn't available after half two so i didn't ring them back and will be looking for another one.
With all the worry about my father little things going wrong just seem to take on massive added stress...the shed door lock is broken so i can't get in it, i paid for a new lightbulb and had it replaced in my headlight, the wrong headlight was replaced...so i bought another lightbulb here but i can't get my hand in the opening to change it..and the house is still in danger without the earth wire....They're not massive problems, just that extra running around and sorting that i could do without you know? ::::sigh::::

congrats on the weight loss, you sound happy about it rr :) Gers, hope your visit to the teeth people is good. (edit) and it was! Huzzah!...AOD, hope you start feeling better with the extra anti's...SR, welcome back, don't envy you the sorting out of stuff...camelot,rain here too after a sunny day yesterday..,TA,sounds like they're having a great time! Are you going to try new painkillers? Sometimes they can take a while to kick in.. I sympathise...dumpling, well done to Lilly! And try not to let it bother you, people lash out about all sorts when they're thinking of themselves rather than other people...Rosy,it does indeed sound disgusting...Maybe leave it to drain and use it as a yoghurt or something topping on something?
    Wotcha missings.....

    Morning everyone
I have eldest DD home from Sweden for a few days, which is lovely. She too is at the dentist this morning.....she had a scary experience with a dentist in Sweden who basically wanted to pull most of her teeth out and break her jaw! She only went cos she had a bit of a niggle and it's free until you're 24. Hopefully our dentist she knows and trusts, though after a lot of years of being terrified of going, will sort her out. Then she has an appointment to get her hair cut and coloured this afternoon....something that is very expensive in Sweden. Youngest DD and baby are busy today so I have a nice quiet day to myself. I've made a pan of Bolognese sauce to make lasagne later....one of DDs requests while she's home.
I've been enjoying having so much extra time with little grand daughter while I'm off work. She was weighed on Wednesday and is 12lbs 9ozs now!! She really is such a delight.
DD has just come in....the dentist was very nice and explained in detail how her teeth are....he said dental care is basically just very different in different countries. She didn't need anything done, so that was good.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable day today
  • dp1 that is really scary, I'm not going to Sweden just in case of getting pounced on by random dentists while concentrating on something else.

Taff I'm sorry to hear your dad is doing less well.

I'm in quite a lot of pain now, I think from being poked at to drain the abcess further yesterday. I do have some out of date paracetamol they are only a few years put of date, might have to resort to those. Gers, so pleased your treatment has gone well.

I've cleaned the cooker and the kitchen windows. I'm in my son's bad books, I have not done clothes washing, I concentrated on sheets and towels, small hissy fit.

It is raining with a vengeance.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
