What size wood screws.

I'm making a frame for a small metal shed out of 45x70mm treated kiln dried c16 timber but what size screws will i need.

My benchmark is normally to have 40% minimum of the screw in the supporting timber, so I'd probably use 5x80.0

If the screws are self drilling type discount the first 10mm, just make sure they don't poke out the other side.0

I think the general school of thought is to aim to have 50% of the screw in the supporting timber.0

I am building a garden room at the moment.
Whatever you go for size wise, have a look at forgefast hex screws. They are so much better than any cross head screw I have ever used. They are all I will use from now on.0
