3 yr delayed statement
I recently received my final statement from a previous supplier for pay as you go Gas (Quantum card). It showed my final reading as was provided to my new provider at the time. The date of the statement was 6th Jan 2019. it showed the period it covered (until I left) as 3 March 2016 - 17th July 2016, Over 3 YEARS ago.
I rang and asked and was given the excuse of a backlog.
The advisor tried to get me to deal with the complaint over the phone there and then. I refused and said that I've decided that I will complain in writing and if not satisfied will refer the matter to the ombudsman.
Has anyone else experienced this sort of delay in the past?
if so, what did you do and how did the company deal with the complaint?

I'm assuming that since you had a prepayment meter that it was just a statement of gas usage and payments. If so why are you bothered that it was so late. Have you been chasing it since you left them and what would you have done if you you'd never received one. What would you like to see as the outcome of the complaint?0
