Warm home discount/ renewal gone up

Good afternoon, Last year we were entitled to the warm home discount of £140. This was a huge help to us.
I have had a renewal quote from my energy company which is now £144 a year more than last year. I have shopped around and obviously found cheaper deals but I just thought it was a very weird coincidence that the extra money they would be charging us is the exact amount we would be discounted.
Feels very sneaky.
Has anyone had the same problem?

Not the way it works .
They dont put prices up only for WHD customers .

The renewal quote is a guess. From your bills you will know exactly how many units you used - just do some simple sums and calculate your own estimate for the year. It will be an estimate as the actual consumption will depend on the weather and your life style.
