Dual Fuel to separate suppliers

I'm coming to the end of a 2 year OVO fix, I've always had dual-fuel plans as they've usually been the better option (+cashback and other combined discounts).
I'm considering Zog on a fixed 24 months (gas only), and Symbio on a variable (elec only).
The Zog and Symbio combination come to £1280.

The 'best' dual-fuel price on comparison sites is coming to £1310 (tied between Green, and Outfox the Market). These are both variable deals with no exit charge.

Does anyone have any comments or warnings about what I'm about to do? (eg imminent price drops, length of the 2 year gas fix...?)

Don't even think of Outfox the Market !

You may also wish to compare performance ratings.

I would have excluded Outfox the Market just for their amateurish logo

Thanks for the CS comparison list - Green and Symbio don't appear on it as they're too new/small

We have used separate suppliers for Gas & Electric for at least 3 years now.
Whenever we do a comparison, it always works out cheaper to have separate suppliers for our consumption.

Zog for our gas supply and Octopus for our electric.
We have found both have excellent customer service and the price is competitive too.
Regarding the 2 year fix; this time of year is a good time to fix as prices are usually a bit lower during the summer and the fixed price deals tend to be higher if you fix during the winter months

I've done a switch to the Zog/Symbio combination today, although only 12 months fix with Zog (too cautious!). Zog are great- been with them at a previous property; Symbio - keeping fingers crossed! Had to switch as just moved to a property using npower and I refuse to give them my business, apart from the obligatory period prior to switches happening.

Thanks - I thought I'd hedge it for 24 months with Zog, and if a (much) better deal comes along I'll be no worse off as the price with Green is +£30 anyway for their variable (and no exit charge, lol).

    Switch triggered.

    Zog online form was straightforward.
Symbio online form didn't allow me to pick the date I wanted service to commence, the email confirmation stated the estimated date which was far too soon. So I had to call them and speak to someone...
