Halifax vs iweb

Hi
I’m trying to decide between Halifax sharedealing or iweb for my isa transfer. I plan to invest regularly but possibly with varying amounts and i’d like to add to different funds / ITs / ETFs each month depending on how out of whack my allocations are. As I understand it, I can do this with Halifax regular investing at £2 per purchase? So, their £12.50 a year admin fee plus 12 x £2 regular trades make it cheaper than going with iweb at 12 x £5 trades (ignoring the initial £25 to open)? If I need to sell / switch anything to rebalance or reinvest dividends I can wait for their monthly offer period when commission is reduced to £3.95 per trade? Have I got this right and anything else I need to think about?
Cheers!

Sounds about right. Make sure the one you choose carries the investments you want and in the case of HSD allows them for monthly investing (they may have a restricted list for ITs and ETFs)0

Thanks coldiron. Good point about the possible restriction! I’ve also just noticed that the monthly offer period for reduced commissions does not apply to funds but with acc funds I won’t need to reinvest dividends anyway so hopefully I can avoid having to pay any £12 commissions.0

Nearly right. Any sale of Funds will be at £12.50 a pop, you cannot use the once a month £3.95 window for funds. Re dividend reinvestment, if you do this manually its the £2 deal but if you set up auto dividend reinvestment its 2% max £12.50 so if your regular dividends are less than £100 each and there is no ACC fund alternative the auto reinvest would be cheaper.GreasyPalms wrote: »Hi
