Why did you remove the OP text from your only other post?

    The 'Aldi unwarranted harassment' thread.

Probably because they didn't get the responses that they were hoping for.
BoP quoted the majority, if not all, of the OP's post on that thread in his post #5.

Personally, I think it's poor t'interweb etiquette to delete a post asking for advice once you have an answer to your question or have got a satisfactory response from the company you've got a complaint against.

Be careful because a lot of employers use tips to pay the minimum wages of staff and they just top up the shortfall. (Which I think is disgraceful)

If you want to leave a tip then ask if 100% goes to the staff on duty ON TOP OF their base wage. If not then don't leave one as you're just throwing your money away. You might as well just way you'd like to pay £10 more for your meal.

Edit: This only applies to the UK, other countries like the USA are very different!

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe employers now have to pay minimum wage regardless ... any tips are additional (yet may be shared between the staff and the business). I know there was a big campaign about this a couple of years ago.
