What a lovely post JackieO - it fair made my heart soar! Such a great family and such a proud granny.

The 'blind' man has been and gone (twice) and so the new blind is moving up and down the windowso smoothly. On the down side I realise that the nets need washing, they are so mucky. That'll have to wait until next week when the cleaner is here to climb up the ladders to get them down. The window is too high and wide for me to do it safely - my knee will probably protest.

Now I'm going to settle down to watch a bit of Sherlock again.

Afternoon all,
A bit late in the day but I was DGS minding until Mum picked him up at 11 & then I've been gallivanting with my oldest friend - lunch in a cafe on the edge of the moors.It's always packed and the cakes are amazing.Much nattering and catching up and she brought my birthday present.Its not just yet but she and her DH are away when it is.


2 parcels on my return,I ordered a window vac with an extension pole as I really cant do them by hand anymore.I had one at our last house but it packed up when we moved here.Just waiting for it to charge.My other item was a mandoline/veg chopper thingy.Again because my hands dont work as well as they used to . Might try it out in a bit,I have quite a lot of veg that could be 'souped up'.Speaking of soup my friend had white onion/potato soup in the cafe and said it was gorgeous. I set the bm up before I went out and forgot to press the start button, so it wont be ready until after 7 !
