If you have sent a first PPI reclaim complaint letter to the company,

but have not put the correct complain argument point in the letter which you know they will reject (due to not having all the paperwork from the past)

If you then realize another another point in your complain,
(due to getting some paperwork at a later state)

then can you send another second complain letter, with this new point.

but if this 2nd letter is sent After the deadline,
then does it could you have sent your complain 'within time' on the basis that you have sent your first one in time?

- as you have sent the First incorrect point letter within time limit (which was sent weeks ago) ?

CHANGED and added from below

but if this 2nd amended claim is sent after the deadline (if you have sent this 1st complain letter in Early August, by recorded delivery.

but you send this second amended claim September 2019, which is 1 month after the deadline,

then would this 2nd letter be 'accepted' within time of the deadline (as you had sent the original claim in early August) ?

You can amend your "complain" by writing to the Bank. It's still the same "complain".

    Why wait till September?

    Send it now.

Is this just a hypothetical question or have you genuinely found additional evidence? If the latter, why would you delay sending it until a month after the deadline? Are you hoping the Bank will send you documents?

Regardless of all this, if you have information which you think aids your complaint you should send it as soon as possible. If the Bank reject your complaint because you don't provide the information in time, you can appeal the decision and you have the Ombudsman to fall back on too.

Am waiting for forms to be sent back to us from the companies,

So assuming they will send to us After the deadline, our SECOND claim could be sent after the PPI deadline but our first claim has been sent within the deadline.

Which is what this question is about.

The simple answer is no they don’t have too. They can simply argue that you have already been given your final response from first complaint and you will have FOS referral rights for that complaint - whether FOS would consider new complaint points that hasn’t already been addressed by firm would be questionable.

So simply make any complaint you have now!

You don't need a form from them to make a complaint.

How will forms sent from the companies concerned aid your complaint? If you complain now, then your concerns will be considered regardless of you having sent back documentary evidence they sent you in the first place.

I do hope you are not waiting for "forms" simply showing whether or not you had PPI? If you are, the Bank should respond in time for the deadline if you simply enquire!

Truly, only if you find documentary evidence in your own archive which more than just supports your complaint will you need to send this information at all.
