This isn't as straightforward as it sounds as first glance although I think other posters have covered all the necessary points.
How exactly did you place the order? They have a website but it seems like you email them rather than ordering via an online store.
You say they didn't give any details about returns at all, is that correct? What exactly was the chain of events. Don't need a word for word but a concise summary might help.
If they haven't complied with their obligations regarding providing certain information then you could potentially have up to 1 year & 14 days to cancel (a further 14 from cancelling to return), they definitely can't charge a restocking charge and they most likely can't make a deduction to that refund even if your handling went beyond what was necessary. Because if they haven't complied with the 14 days right to cancel there's no way they told you about diminished value.You keep using that word.
