MBNA Rejected PPI Claim

Options
Hi all, wondered if I could ask for advice on a rejected MBNA PPI claim.

I put in a claim back in summer of 2017 on the grounds of being mis-sold PPI, I had 3 reasons 1. at the time of taking out the credit card I felt as though I had to have the PPI, 2. I lived at home with my parent who would have helped if I got in to financial difficulty, 3. I was employed with a good sick pay package, the same reasons I used with another account where I got a refund, my claim was rejected and I opened a case with the ombudsman, that was in October 2017, now life got in the way for various reasons and I never got round to replying to their request for more information, I have spoken with the ombudsmen and they say they can't open that again, I would need to go back to MBNA, she said she doubted they would look in to my case again as the time has elapsed, she mentioned I could reopen it again if I used high commission as the reason, can anyone help me with this as she tried to explain the commission thing but didn't do a very good job as I am still not clear, have I totally lost the chance to claim this?

Any help or advice greatly appreciated :)

They should already have reviewed your complaint under Plevin, which is the commission issue.

If you feel they haven't, ask them.

Ah ok, so they should have automatically done that to all cases, I will call to check on that then, thank you for the advice.

Is there any point in me putting a new claim in for the mis selling aspect or is the lady i spoke to at the financial ombudsmen correct in saying they would defo not look in to that again.

No point in a new claim. You had your chance.

That doesn't reopen your complaint. All it does is get them to check it there was a high commission issue. All complaint rejections have been doing this automatically for over 2 years. So, yours should have been checked already on this.

The FOS are correct. You made your complaint. You were rejected. Game over. Any attempt to complain again will see you referred back to the original decision.
