118 118 Madison constantly searching my file.

I know that a soft or "quotation" search doesn't mean anything, doesn't harm anything etc etc. And yes, these are "soft" searches. But none the less why are "Madison Cf Uk LTD T/A 118 118 Money" CONSTANTLY searching my credit file (particularly Transunion).
It's actually a real pain because when I am trying to have a quick scan through my searches (for good credit file practice). It is just littered with these searches. I'm talking several a month, every month, sometimes 3 or 4 a day! Why do they have a right to do this and what are they doing??

Are you signed up with Clearscore?

The source of these on my files was from Clearscore and having the option for "quotation searches" to be carried out.

I unticked it and it stopped.

Yes I am, and I have now (thank you) unticked that box.

How do you do this, please? They run multiple searches on me, even in the months when I don't log into Clearscore.

On the app, top right there is a little user icon, click it.
then click preferences. then its at the top.

They always offer me their 118118 card as 100 percent guaranteed - but it's a useless card unless you have a balance to deal with. They charge a fee even when your balance is zero. They keep appearing in my soft searches whenever I do a 'see what cards you're eligible for' comparisons. I'll never take one though - so they might as well give up offering. There should be a way to say 'block this card provider' if you're not interested in them on the comparison websites.
