Hi All,

Does anyone have an email address to contact the AA and cancel the auto renewal of my breakdown cover? I don't want to have to negotiate them trying to keep me around and just want to get it done...

Just call them ... and stay strong. And make sure to cancel the DD/CPA on your card ... they won't renew if they can't take the payment. ;)

I'll get onto the DD now. What's CPA?

EDIT: there isn't a DD set up.

Continuous Payment Authority. If you have given permission they can take the money from your credit card.

If you don't have a DD or a CPA then they can't take any money & the cover will lapse.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

It does seem to have a "continuous payment" set up. Very sneaky as it doesn't show up on my bank account as something I can cancel.

Is it on your DEBIT card or CREDIT card? (Only debit card transactions will show on your bank account).

Left for posterity. I've re-read what you posted and I think you mean you can see it in your bank account but can't automatically cancel it. You'll need to phone/email your bank to cancel it - and if they say they can't cancel a CPA, ask to speak to a supervisor as the law on that changed several years ago - yes you can.
