Paypal hacking

Hello all,
I have a question about people having their Paypal accounts hacked. Recently I had my account hacked...no amount of password changing or text authentication could stop them. There was money being taken out of my account and put into my account constantly. It looked like money laundering. I told Payapl several times about this and all they could do was freeze the account. Paypal seem to be really good and fobbing you off and even cutting the phone so they themselves don't have to deal with the issue and the 'ticket' as they like to call it can be passed onto someone else.
Anyway i ended up having $2,000 of illegal money in my account Paypal froze the account and said they would investigate. Now they are calling me saying my account is £8,000 in minus and they are saying people have been sending me money and I have not been sending them the goods.
Once again they are in the middle of investigation. I have looked online to see if anyone else has had this problem online but i cant really find anything! I was wondering if people have had any similar experiences?
Sorry for the long email I am just truly baffled by it all.

Just so you know , your paypal account was not hacked.
You have given up your password, either by typing it into a fake paypal logon page, or you have malware on your computer that has keylogged you typing it into the the legit paypal page.
This is why paypal are so reluctant to help you, as they can see that the account is being accessed with a username and password so it becomes a minefield trying to prove one way or another.
I know it doesn't fix your immediate problem, but to prevent any future silly business, change your paypal password on a completely different device that you trust (type paypal.com into the browser address bar rather than clicking any links or bookmarks you may have)
and scan your current computer for malware using this ..
https://www.malwarebytes.com/products/ (use the download button, its free)
And your Antivirus of choice

Also type into google "what is phishing". It will help you identify illegitimate emails and websites.0

If they hacked it they would need access to paypals system. Thats rare.
The fact you changed passwords and they still had access says to me that your the one thats compromised not paypal.
Something on your computer or someone who knows your details?
Daughter had an email from a scammer saying i know your password, it was an email account she had not used for a very long time and used for lots of random websites so tracking where it was compromised is impossible.
But whoever gained access also setup their own email address as a 2nd channel to reset the password.
Thats why i tell her to use a different email for each bank and dont use them for anything else.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
