Claiming PPI for deceased Parent of over 10 years

Hi All,

Quick question. I have just read that you can claim PPI for a deceased relative. My mother passed away in 2006, when I was 16.

Am I able to start the motions of putting in a claim, as a beneficiary can it be me or does it have to be the original administrator of the estate that handled it back in 2006?

Thank you.

It would have to be the executor of the estate... obviously they would need sufficient documentation to show that they are able to act on behalf of the estate.

It is worth noting that due to the passage of time there is unlikely to be many (if any) records left and will likely rely on any paperwork you are able to supply... also complaint points must be factual, you cannot claim what was said or that your late mother didn’t want it or know about it.
